    Default MPeg4 mp4 viewer

OK, so I an new to Linux. I bought an HP2133 for a trip to Africa and I am trying to load an MP4 player. Real Player {Helix) does not do it and VCP (i think) is not for my Suse 10 SP1 (I think).

There is a lot this laptop will not do for me, but I really want to be able to display the videos I am taking.

(I also wanted an IM system that would use the built in webcam, but I think that is a lost cause.)

    Please help me. Gary

    Hi
I'm guessing it's SLED 10 SP1 your talking about. These are the
openSUSE forums SLE have there own forum at http://forums.novell.com.

In answer to your question, look at
    http://www.pcc-services.com/sled10_rpms.html these however have been
upgraded to SP2, which you may also which to consider, it's a free
    download.

    -=WELCOME=- new poster!

your willingness to help is commendable....but, unfortunately you
answered an over three year old post that had already been answered
correctly, and the questioner never even came back to say "Thank you."

_and_ your answer is incorrect since the questioner was running SUSE
Linux Enterprise Desktop version 10 SP1, and your answer is only good
    for 12.1..

actually, i think you knew all of that and was just trying to drive up
    your *unofficial* site hits.....

+1. A comprehensive and well structured guide. I would have found such a document useful and time-saving, when new to both linux and openSUSE. BTW I didn't see the removed post.

do you wonder what it was that was such a violation of a T&C that it had
    to be removed ?
Hmm, it's always a bit of a mystery when it happens, and no reason is given. I did notice it looks like @mjwsecure's first post, so guessing it maybe "tone" rather than a T&C violation.
