so i downloaded torcs, and when i try to run it, my screen flashes and goes to the same screen that comes up if you press CTR+ALT+F2 then it makes me login again and nothing happens. what is wrong and how do fix it, and also, how do i make my account root if i am the only user of the machine?
Maybe your video card doesn’t have 3D support enabled. As for the root account, it’s better not to abuse it. User accounts are an additional layer of security which protects your underlying system in case anything gets messed up.
okay, i have figured out my 3d acceleration is not working properly, I installed the newest nvidia drivers and enabled 3d hardware acceleration in Sax2 but that didnt work. What do i do?
