Default upgrading to kde 4.1.3 from live cd

Hello all. I am downloading kde 4.1.3 live cd.I am currently using opensuse 11 with default kde 4(from dvd).
My question is can i update my kde4 to kde4.1.3 without disturbing other programs?live cd contains amarok snapshot release so can i have mp3 support in it by default?( i need live cd so i am downloading it instead of upgrading to kde4.1.3 through internet)..

If i can update through cd , then some one tell me how to do it..thank u

I've disabled the old KDE4.04 repository and I've added the 4 suggested repositories into my yast.

I gave in sudo mode the following commands:

    zypper ref
    zypper -r update

Not a single dependency error occurred!

After the installation completed I opened a KDE 4 session which gave me a true 4.1.3 session. It looks nice, but the performance is less compared with good old 3.5.10.

Okay, KDE 4.1.3 is pretty usable, but rather young. After closing the session I've caught a weird error about sigsegv, but I couldn't remember the message. After a few tries this bug didn't show up anymore. If I manage to get this error again, I'll put the message in this tread as a follow-up.

Unfortunately I was too optimistic. I can repeat this error:

    What is nepomuk server?

    KDE 3.5.10 runs completely error-free.

    I've searched bugs.kde.org and I've found a (nice) hit:

    https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=170058

    It's a stingy bug.

go into configure desktop > advanced tab nepomuk and disable strigi and nepomuck
    hopefully that will help

I've followed your suggestion which led to two results:

    1. The error has gone.
    2. The performance of KDE 4 just got somewhat better.

    Thank you.
