Thread: Questions About Wine

    Default Questions About Wine

Ok so I've been hearing some talk about Wine. All I know is that it's a Windows Emulator (or it runs Windows Programs). So what I need to know is how does it work because I have somethings in Windows that I'd like OpenSuSE to run.

Also, I'd like to know how to install Game Console Emulators (ie. NES, SNES, and all of them good ones) I know there are available but I'm still new at this that I don't know. So any help would be appreciated.

    1GB DDR RAM , SeaGate 750GB HDD, Multi-Boot - OpenSuSE 11.2 (32-Bit), Windows XP (32-bit), and Windows 7 Beta (Although it's really Vista Version 2 Beta)

    Heh heh...

    Wine
    Is
    Not an
    Emulator

    :-)

It is a rewrite of the gluey bits to allow
Windows apps to work natively under Linux.

If you want to get your feet wet with WINE without making yourself too nuts
with customizations often required, try CodeWeavers CrossOver Office or
    CrossOver Games. www.codeweavers.com
