Hey there,
I recently bought the new version of linux format magazine and it illustrated using unetbootin to make a bootable flash drive, rather than using the rather more tedious regular method I’d used.
Well, I chmod’ed the unetbootin file to make it executable and then ran it, upon loading, it gave me some error messages so I installed the missing components but the main problem I had was with a “udev” file. I checked and it was installed in YaST. When I type:
danbrownlow@linux-v756:~> whereis udev
udev: /etc/udev /lib/udev /usr/share/man/man7/udev.7.gz
So I think it is installed? Anyone know what I have to do because unetbootin isn’t finishing the installation without it.
Thanks,
Dan.
P.S. I did an su root before running ./unetbootin
