download accelerator!!

is there any download accelerator on linux.
iam using ADSL 2084 KB/S.
and i need something to accelerate the download.
and how to run the prozgui or prozilla.

You are probably wasting you time with something like this. Download speed are really dependent on what you are downloading and from where (and obviously your limits)

There should be instructions in the downloaded archive regarding installation.

or use this oneclick - this assumes you are using suse 11.0

prozilla, right, so why do you ask?

Install prozilla and prozgui from Packman (else search on
http://software.opensuse.org/search) then type “prozgui”.

I thought I did. Note prozgui is a separate install. Once you installed it, open a console and type
prozgui
That should start it.

Depends. Download managers can make use of more connections, and they can use mirrors to download one file from different sources at a time. Actually I found that while the result is often impressive, tinkering with the settings beforehand is wasting more time than the improved download saves me

i use download them all plugin for firefox and i like it… may be you like it too…

Multiget

MULTIGET - HOME - open source file downloader with sharing to friends

thank you.
i’ll try Multiget

reach google and find the right because google has and it can

find your internet speed here http://www.ip-details.com/internet-speed-test/

+1 for downthemall plugin mozilla, works pretty well, multiget doesn’t catch every download (in my case none of them) from mozilla.
but downthemall is always presented whenever you download anything

I tried a few and like Jdownloader. It has some good features and has always downloaded file faster than anything else I tried.
