    Default KDE 4.1.2r45.2

For some time now my Add Widgets function has been b0rked.
When I drag a widget to the desktop all I get is an empty widget
handle (black dot). Doesn't matter which widget I try to add.
If I mouse over the widget I can see all of the controls, but the
widget itself is missing. Any ideas on troubleshooting?

I take that back, I can drag Analog Clock, Application Launcher, Battery
Monitor, Digital Clock, Folder View, Kget monitor,Lock/Logout, New Device
Notifier, News Ticker, Task Manager, and Trashcan and they work.

    The rest...nothing.
So that's 11 out of 32 that seem to do something when placed on the desktop.

I had a similar problem a while back. My problem was that I had the "extragear-plasma" package installed. I think this may only be for KDE4.0 and not 4.1. I removed it and installed "kde4-plasma-addons" and that took care of it.

    Hope this helps

    I'll check on that. Thanks.
