We have a smalloffice and I would like to install a SUSE sever. Is there a server version Open Source or does V11.x do the job. I want it for F&P serving and backups to windows clients.

OpenSUSE 11 can be a server or a client or whatever.... the official
enterprise server product is SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES), has
its own forum, and can be used in a trial for something like ninety days
as I recall getting free updates (check with sales rep for details).
Whatever you choose should be fine, especially if you are just starting
out. SLES 10 is more stable/baked/hardened code by definition but
you'll need to decide if you need opensuse 11's features over 10's
    stability.

    Good luck.

I have several servers running OpenSuSE, mostly 10.2.
