Default Automatic update killed my system grrr

Hello, Im a newbie to Linux and i have a problem.
Let me explain myself: about two days ago i did an automatic update on openSUSE kde 4.0 desktop and then the system asked me to reboot.
And when i did guess what! I saw this message "Could not start kdeinit4. Check your installation". SO what do you suggest me to do?

Also another question that has nothing to do: i dual boot opensuse and ubuntu but there is only one Swap for both systems, is that good?

<Thanks, im waiting for an answer.

Sounds like you took a kernel update and now your video card driver doesn't match the kernel.

Can you boot into default mode?
