Default mkfs.minix "number of sectors too small"

    Hi,

under OpenSuse 11.0 I get the message "number of sectors to small" calling

    mkfs.minix FileName -i 512

This error is reported with any number of -i. I tried from 512 upto 4096.
    Any ideas?

    Thank you
    C.N.Taur

How big is the file at the moment? Perhaps it is not large enough for mkfs.minix to create a filesystem on it.

The file size is 3,072,000 bytes.
If I use a copy of mkfs.minix from OpenSuse 10.0, there is no error message.

Try specifying the number of blocks in the file explicitly.
