Thread: Kwrite not accessing files in SU

Default Kwrite not accessing files in SU

My version is 11.0 with KDE4 downloaded as a CD ISO KDE4 from Novell two days ago. I find that when in terminal and in SU, kwrite will not execute and hangs at the command prompt.

When in user mode, kwrite does work. But, of course, I cannot access any files that require SU. Once, in SU, there was a message that it could not execute with X, but that showed only one time out of ten.

It started immediately upon first boot. I thought that maybe it needed upgrades which I installed. However, the problem stil exists.

    Has anyone experienced this?

    Thanks
