Default Open Office Writer Printing Issues

Using Open Office 2.4 on openSUSE 10.2_x86_64. Installed TurboPrint and
absent-mindedly said yes to make the color printer the default. Changed
the default printer back to the original default (my laser printer) via
YAST. However, Open Office Writer still defaults to the color printer,
and I don't see a way to make it stop doing so. Any thoughts?

Wanted to print some insect labels on my laser printer using 4 point
type, but see that the smallest I can get in Open Office Writer is 6
point. Will this be any different in Open Office Writer 3, or am I
going to try to need to find another application to do my label
printing? I'd hope not to be forced to use Microsoft Word for this
(several articles indicate that it does 4 point type).

Don't use the icon or Ctl-P to print; select Print from the dropdown menu and you should be given the opportunity to change the printer defaults.

Thanks for your response. You are correct, and if I print a document
after having changed the printer setting and save it, that printer
setting is remembered the next time I load the document. My question,
though, is why I have to change this for every new document created.
Where is OOW getting its default printer setting if it isn't getting it
from the system's default printer setting? If I know where it is
getting this, I assume I can change it.

I'll answer the 2nd part of the question myself. KWord solves the
problem. Why are 4 point fonts supported in KWord? Perhaps it relates
to compatibility with Microsoft Word. Shouldn't OOW?
