I have feeling this should be in chit-chat!

But as to the point you raise. "How long is a piece of string"

There is going to be too much for people to comment on. But right now the thing that consumes me is KDE4, not an app. as such, but it's looking great and I love it. Virtual Box features highly on my list too - as I love messing with other distros, and k3b. Konqueror has to be one of the most versatile esp. in kde3.

    what is everyones Fav applications
For me, the ones that help me do what I need to do most:

    Firefox
    OpenOffice
    GroupWise
    Pidgin
    Knode
    Bluefish
    Konqueror
    Knotes

    That's 95% of what I use day in/day out.

Actually sounds like a candidate for 'polls'.

I don't know why but the first app that comes to mind for me is
K3b. I don't know why, I guess because it is rock solid, just works and
seems to always work in the way I think it should.

Those are pretty much what I use well except for the Music players I don't listen to music that often I am guessing that because UEW starts off with a U it must be something to do with a University ?
