    Default Installing Opentype Fonts

    Hello

I'm trying to install an opentype (.otf) font; however, I see no place to copy it in /usr/share/fonts. Is there someplace else it belongs?

    Thanks

If you know what you are doing, you can create a folder in /usr/share/fonts for your OpenType Fonts.

If you don't, KDE handles font installation through the Control Centre in 10.3 - this is called something different in KDE4 but is fairly obvious. If font installation isn't yet implemented in KDE4, you may be able to do it with Gnome or, if no one else on the forum can give you better advice, you may find installing KDE3 is your best option, albeit a rather roundabout way of doing what you want.
