    Default OpenGL Leech

Ok, first off, specs: i am running Opensuse 10.3(32bit) with 1GB RAM and a ATI Radeon 9550 graphics card with the drivers installed.
here is a little bit from the display info:

    Display Info
    Vendor: ATI Technologies Inc
    Model: ATI Radeon 9550 / X1050 Series (RV350/RV360 4153)
    Driver: fglrx (3D Support)

some of the games i play use open gl, and run fine windowed, but seem to freeze when run in full screen, and the computer becomes unresponsive. one example of this is Irrlamb

I *think* this and my desktop freezing up seconds after logging in with XGL enabled(currently disabled because of this) are related. Anyone know why this might be happening?

Maybe its a heating issue? Have you tried running some games in Windows?
