Default Screensaver does not grab screen shot

Hi there, not a biggie but annoying...

My screen distortion screensavers do not grab a screen shot they just show a test image.

I have openSUSE 11.0 and KDE3.5 but I have had this problem since openSUSE 10.1.

Other people have posted about this problem but no replies, heres one that has an image of the screen Screensaver Problem - openSUSE Forums

Anyone able to shed some light on this?

    Ta.

Well known problem. See if it works with another DE, e.g. fvwm2,
    instead.

Not sure if there is a resolution for KDE.

If you have xscreensaver installed, you could run xscreensaver-demo for more config options.

Excellent, that does it thanks. How do I get xscreensaver to automatically start when I login?
