XEN and ATI Slow graphics

Hi to all

I have loaded XEN and when I run it I have slow graphics, fgl_glxgears won’t run ( segmentation fault), here is a list of the log

cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep “(EE)”
(WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown.
(EE) fglrx(0): vm86() syscall generated signal 11.
(EE) fglrx(0): vm86() syscall generated signal 11.
(EE) fglrx(0): vm86() syscall generated signal 11.
(EE) fglrx(0): atiddxDriScreenInit failed, GPS not been initialized

When I sign in as normal not in XEN, graphics are fine.

Is there some doco somewhere that might help?
or do I need to compile xen kernel?

Did you install an ATI driver? If so, did you compile a source or install it through YaST?

Thanks. :slight_smile:

Hi

Yes I installed through yast, from the ati-repository version 8.493…etc.

Ran aticonfig and all ran OK eventually.

The problem only occurs when I boot into XEN.

Hi

Forgot to say that as described in
ATI - openSUSE
glxinfo displays

OpenGL vendor string: Mesa project: Mesa Home Page
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect

its not using the ati driver when in XEN.
