Default All man pages are empty

    Hi,

I just converted from ubuntu to openSUSE (mac osx -> ubuntu -> opensuse) and have had an great experience so far. All except that for some reason the man pages all show up empty, even with third party installed programs such as icc. Typing "man cp" gives me " Manual page cp(1) line ?/? (END)".

    Some info:
    1) As far as I know I have fully updated openSUSE 11.0 (gnome), running on a brand new Dell D830.

    2) MANPATH is
    andri@bourbon:/usr/share/man$ echo $MANPATH
    /home/andri/opt/intel/cc/10.1.015/man:/home/andri/opt/intel/fc/9.1.052/man:/home/andri/opt/gmt-4.2.1/man:/usr/local/man:/usr/share/man

    3) andri@bourbon:/usr/share/man$ ls man1/cp
    cp.1.gz cpio.1.gz cpp.1.gz cpp-4.3.1.gz

    Yes, I did.

I actually managed to solve the issue. In frustration with getting g95 to compile a static executable I had added (working very late at night) the lib/ folder that comes with it to the front of $LD_LIBRARY_PATH, presumably causing some version issues. After removing it again, everything worked as it should.
