Default Wireless Setup issues with Ndiswrapper

Complete Linux newbie here, so please bear with me.

I'm using OpenSuse 11, my wireless card needs the ndiswrapper. I followed the Ndiswrapper guide for Opensuse, installed it, I fed it my inf, it took it just fine. My problem is when I'm trying to configure the settings. The guide says:

    * Start YaST's network configuration: Network Devices ? Network Card
    * Choose: "User controlled with Network Manager" and then "Next"
    * Choose: "Add" button in lower half
    * Choose:
    o Device Type: "Wireless"
    o Configuration Name: "0" (or whatever )
    o Hardware Configuration Name: "static-0"
    o Module Name: "ndiswrapper"
    o Options: "" (keep empty)
o Do not select "PCMCIA" nor "USB"
    o ... and finally "Next"
    * On next screen select DHCP in "Hostname and Name Server" and in "Advanced ? DHCP Options", then click "Next"
    * In "Wireless Network Card Configuration"-window choose (= keep the defaults):
    o Operation Mode: "Managed"
o Network Name (ESSID): "" (keep empty)
    o Authentication Mode: "Open"
    o Input Type: "Passphrase"
o Encryption Key: "" (keep empty)
    o .. . and finally "Next"
    * the kwallet manager might open -- give him your password and ignore this opening (it doesn't do anything)
    * ignore the warning that "Encryption is doing on own risk"
    * back in "Netwark Card Configuration Overview" choose "Next"

    Your card is configured.

You might now open the Network Manager in your taskbar (kicker) and select one of the found networks. Disable your wire connection (if connected), and access the internet.

If your SSID (wireless network name) is not broadcasted, you can select an own, specific one in the Network Manager.
I'm having problems. First off, Under network devices there is only DSL, Modem, ISDN, and Network Settings, no "Network Card".

I assume it meant Network Settings.

On next screen select DHCP in "Hostname and Name Server" and in "Advanced ? DHCP Options", then click "Next"
But the next screen is Network Card Setup, and it only shows only Dynamic Address DHCP. Hitting next goes back to the Network Settings window.

When I Hit Finish it runs down the list until it gets to "Activate network services", but it looks for online repositories that it cannot get to (because it's not yet connected to the net), I skip those, then the window just closes. I don't get to any Wireless Network Card Configuration menu.

    Any help is appreciated!

    @ ashu_sin
you would be better off starting a new topic of your own, instead of tacking it on to someone elses. more likely to get help with the problem
