    Default Printing Open office document.

I have a network printer, connected to my PC through IP.
I configure it in kde4.1 with opensuse11.And then i try to print a job from Kate just for test. and works fine.
But when i try to print my open office docu from my PC.
The status i am receiving is "Printing" then it changes to "Stopped".
And in the printer window. i see that one job is paused.
I am trying to do that from yesterday. Other files are printing fine but OO file cannot.Size of OO file is 3.1MB.

    Any quick ideas.

    Thanks

have you tried managing printing with CUPS via
    http://localhost:631/

you will need to add your printer and set it up etc..

    Wow, i have configured it.
    I use CUPS.
Open cups in browser: http://localhost:631 and click on add printer button there.
1-Set name for the printer(Mandatory) with location(optional) and description(optional).click continue.
2-I select LPD/LPR Host Or Printer from the dropdown menu.click continue.
3-Put this in the text box:
    lpd://192.168.10.10/queue
Above, the ip address is representing the printer ip.So change it to your printer ip.click continue.
4-Select your Make from the box.click continue.
5-Choose your printer driver and click add printer.it will ask you for password.give your root as username and password of root.

    And thats it.
After finishing this, make sure that you change the paper size to A4,otherwise will recieve error from printer.
In open office also setup the printer setup.
NOW remember to setup the page in open office.
Go to Format->page, then there select page and change the format to A4.

    thats all.

Hope it will help some one, that how to configure network printer.

@Admin, can we add this to howto?
