Default Taking pictures off my cell phone

    Hey all,

I bought a usb wire a long time ago for my phone. I used a couple of times to upload/download the address book and pictures on a Windows machine.

I would like to know what I need to do the same thing for my Opensuse11.

    Thanks

Well, first thing would be to tell us *what* phone you're talking about. How
do you expect help, if you don't tell us *what* you need help with ?

Second, maybe describe how you did this in Windows: did you need a specific
program or did you just plug it in and get an extra drive letter (as with a
    USB-stick)?

In the latter case, the same should work on any more or less recent Linux.
Just plug it in, and check out the /media/ directory or the My Computer icon
    on your desktop.

    Hi,

The phone is a Samsung A640. I think the proggy that I used on the Windows machine was called "Bitpim" or something like that. It was a free download off the net.

I cannot see it mounted in "My Computer"

    Google'd a bit, seems it a Windows-only model.

But it has BlueTooth. Maybe you can use that?
