    Default Frostwire and MP3 playing

    Hi

I installed Frostwire and now I am trying to use the buildin player to play a downloaded MP3. I use the default audio player and installed vlc. But nothing happens when I hit the play button. When I open the MP3 with VLC outside Frostwire, it plays fine. Anybody an idea what can be wrong?

    Thanks

Go to the options. There you will find an entry related to the media player. Choose your own. By default it uses mplayer. So change it to vlc if you don't have mplayer installed.

    Hi

Thanks for your answer. But at least in the latest version of Frostwire, vlc is the default player for all multi-media. That is why I installed vlc. But I will check if changing vlc in mplayer will solve the problem.

In the future, a thread like this is better suited in the Multimedia forum.

Well, i don't use the latest frostwire, but the relevant section looks like this :xterm -e mplayer $URL$.
Could it be that you forgot $URL$ in this section so the player does not know what to open?
