Thread: Your Posts (Solved )

    Default Your Posts (Solved )

Could we please have a "Your Posts" Link somewhere on the site - IMHO it is about the most useful link there is on any forum.

If there already is one then I can't find it (and that is not for the want of looking) so perhaps it should be made a bit more obvious (and in the meantime will someone tell me where it is).

I just knew there had to be something like that somewhere. Though I doubt I would have ever found it without your help.

    Thanks very much deltaflyer44.

I hardly dare ask this because I might be making myself look even more ignorant than I do already, but I have to do it because despite the Title edit to include the word - 'solved', I don't think it actually has been.

When I log into this forum I get to the forum home page. I am pretty sure it must be the same for everyone.

Where am I going to find my login name (nick as you called it) on the forum home page?

Nowhere unless I have made a post in the last 10 minutes or so.

Therefore how do I click on my 'nick' without first searching for posts that I have made?

Put simply I have to search for posts that I have made in order to search for posts that I have made?

As before I am sure I must be missing something here, but I can't see what it is.

I apologise in advance if the answer to this is obvious to everyone except me

GOOD point...to find all your posts, try this:

GO Forum | LogIn | Search (top of page, near "Logout")
    | type your user name/nick in "Search by User Name" | (if needed) click
"Find Post by User" and "Exact Name" (defaults?) | click "Show results
as post" (default?) | press "Enter"..

    enjoy YOUR words..

100% agree. Lets have a 'My posts' button, or our nickname (at top right) could appear as a link which we can click on to get to our posts. Its a common function, and a drag to do manually.

You could also click User Control pane at the top and then Your Profile.
Once there then Show All Statics and then Find All Posts.

Thanks for that suggestion 69_rs_ss, that does work and is probably slightly quicker than using the advanced search method I grant you, although I wouldn't describe it as ideal.

I would still prefer a 'Your Posts' link.

Right next to 'New Posts' would be a good place to put it.
