I've identified my Wireless card and which driver I need...

Hello,

I’ve done my initial probing and I think I have a Broadcom wireless card and I need the IPW3945 driver. If anyone can verify this then great. If not, then how do I install the driver?

Apologies, the IPW3945 is nothing to do with my Broadcom. The following page specifies using the NDSIWrapper

HP-Compaq 530 - Linux Laptop Wiki

I had Ubuntu on the same laptop and it worked out-of-the-box (though I think only after I updated the system). So I assume that there is a non ndsiwrapper driver for it.

I will keep digging but if anyone can help please!

No, there is not. The bcm43xx group is still doing the reverse engineering for
that particular model. If it worked with Ubuntu, then it was using ndiswrapper.
