Two displays using Twinview
HP Pavilion dv6000
openSUSE 11.0
I've got an external monitor hooked to the laptop and have installed the nVidia video drivers. Using the NVIDIA X Server Settings I was able to expand my display across both monitors (built-in LCD and external) with no issues and each one running at a different resolution.
The issue I'm having occurs when I shut down the laptop and disconnect the external monitor then boot up openSUSE. It comes up with half the display missing because it's still trying to use two monitors when only one is available. Bug?

Re: Two displays using Twinview
I am not sure if it is a bug. have you tried it on a different distro?
Best way to avoid is before shutting down, either to switch to disable or to a separate X screen. The later needs to X start anyway.
