Keyboard not working

I have 11.0 installed on an older box as a file server. It has been working flawlessly for 3 or 4 weeks. Today, I logged it to change some permissions and my keyboard didn’t work. It did work to log in though. I thought it must have went bad. I shutdown the PC and installed another keyboard. I booted back up, typed my password and logged in. It didn’t work either. I have something wrong but an not sure what. Any ideas?

I figure you have a USB keyboard.

		 		  		 		From the grub boot menu, select safe mode. At the command prompt logon as root. Run sax2. Reconfigure your keyboard. Save and exit, reboot.

I actually have a ps2 keyboard but the solution seems to have worked. I am just not sure why it quit. Well see how it goes from now on. I hate to reinstall here, this server was a bit complicated to set up.
