installing open-xchange in openSUSE_11

I tried to install open-xchange under 11 with the script for 10.3, but failed hopelessly, then downloaded all I could get from “factory-non-oss”, “factory-oss” & “openSUSE-11.0-Updates” but do not find any documentation which would tell me how to continue. The browser opens a login window, but all I tried to log in failed, does anybody know what I should do ?

Thank you!
Heinrich

Honestly, I struggled with Open-Xchange for a long time. The docs are poor
and support is sketchy. If you aren’t sold on it I’d suggest looking at
Zimbra(FOSS edition).

Thanks,
a friend had been succesful with the installation script under 10.3, but I do not want to go back to 10.3 – have problems there with my Fritzcard as well – will look at Zimbra however!

Zimbra isn’t supported just yet under OS11 either sorry I overlooked that.
10.2 is the only ‘officially’ sanctioned OpenSuSE. However, there is a
Sticky in the forum for running it on OpenSuSE 10.3…you may be able to
follow the guide there and run it under OS11. I run my server under 10.2
just so I don’t get the ‘it’s not supported’ routine in case it all goes
sideways one day.

Hi
did anyone, after installing Open-Xchange from the repository, had any luck to log in? The faq’s, documentation are not present, howto’s and tutorials are not present. The only text regarding Open-Xchange are the changelogs. From the changelogs was anyone able to figure out how this piece of software is going to work? At least I presume it has a function?
Can this software be configured to suit my needs?
Greetings
Peter
