I have an xp 32 bit virtual machine i created with vmware 1.06.
I never detected my local printer in it. The printer works on the host OS Open Suse 11.0. I had not luck last night with cups trying to add it as a samba or an ipp printer. I upgraded my vmware to 2.0 yesterday to support windows 2008 64-bit Server. In the creation I can add a usb device. But I cannot add a usb device to the existing 32bip xpro virtual machine. I don’t care if I have to make it a shared network printer. What is the easiestr way to set it up to print from inside my xp virtual machine? The printer was a pain to install originally. I think I downloaded a ppd file from hp.
