Not able to add most Widgets with KDE4.1 rc1

I running the lastest update of KDE4.1 (RC1+, release 13.3) and I’m no longer able to add Widgets to my desktop. If I try to add one, it places what appears to be an empty Widget background or control at the upper left part of the screen. The only one that I can get to work is the analog clock. :frowning:

Is anyone else seeing this issue or am I just lucky?

I can still add widgets to the desktop; have you already re-started plasma? (I know, bad question, but had to ask).

I’ve rebooted my system several times without success.
