Java Web Start on OpenSuse 11.0 64 bit. How?

I've actually just asked the same question in my thread about getting Java installed.

I don't know how relevant you'll find it because I'm not trying to install from the repositories. I gave up on the Java stuff in the official repositories because it's all a bit outdated (and is only going to get more out of date), ran like **** and I also noticed the same problem as you: being unable to locate the browser plugins and the Java Web Start program.
