OpenSuse's virtualbox on SLED 11sp2

When I try to run VirtualBox 6.2 on SLED 10.2, I get this this running a regular user, This doesn't happen running as root.

Anyone have a clue what can be done to fix it?

Try doing this:

Open up a shell and navigate to /home/user/.VirtualBox .

Type "ls" to list all files.

If you see a VirtualBox file, but no VirtualBox.xml file, try renaming VirtualBox to VirtualBox.xml .

I hope this works.

tried that. that was not the problem. the file did exist.

You could try installing Sun's non-open source version of Virtualbox.

Use the VirtualBox RPM download from Sun. The openSUSE version has been
crippled by removing the ability to recompile the kernel modules, which
may be what is biting you because SLED probably has a slightly different
kernel version than openSUSE. Only downside is you need kernel-sources
installed in order to recompile the modules.
