Nvidia drivers GART problem

Hello, I have installed NVIDIA driver, but after this X server just crashes, and all. I`m using NForce3, AMD Sempron 2400+, GeForce 6600GT, computer.

In X.log all going fine (without errors), until it reaches (II) NVIDIA(0): Initialized GPU GART. And thats all it repeats 6-7 times. I have nice black screen instead of X. What should I do to fix this problem.

Linux driver version: 173.14.09

You might try with 169.12.0.1. Later versions don't work for me either (nForce3, GeForce6200, 10.2/32-bit).
