    Default video card isn't the real in suse 11.0 x86_x64

    Hi...

    a friend has a desktop with a video card nVidia geforce FX5500. even installed or not the driver, suse says that the video card is an ati radeon... why suse is recognizing this model as other?

    Have your friend do "lspci -vv" and it will tell him what the plug and play vendor S/W in the card is telling openSUSE.

    Does he have a mobo builtin ati that is not turned off in bios?
