    is any development going on on sled 11 if yes when it is scheduled for release.

    SUSE Linux Enterprise product will be based on openSUSE 11.1, which is scheduled for December 08.

    Expect a release of SLE 11 on the first quarter 2009.

    (and btw, need to move this thread I think )

    If you want to stay up to date, use Opensuse. If you need a supported platform for your business, use SLED.

    actually I was thinking to procure a notebook by year end and use sled on it, any ways what is the experience of opensuse 11, I have downloaded it,however could not install and use.

    It's hard to describe, so I recommend you give it a try, either using the Live DVD or by installing it in a Virtual machine (if you cannot install it physically)

    SLED 11 GM (goldmaster) is released already. However, not sure since when.
