Firefox to Dolphin: "Open Containing Folder"
When I download something in Firefox I sometimes want to visit the folder it's in, so I might right click on the file's icon within the Firefox and select "Open Containing Folder" from the menu. This works quite nicely in Windows, OS X, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc. In SUSE 11.0 I get this error:
My preference is set for Firefox to download to /home/niels, but the files are actually going to /tmpCode:Error - Dolphin The file or folder /home/niels/'file:/tmp' does not exist.
What's up with that?

Downloads go to tmp until they are finished, and then they should be copied over to the location you have specified.

It happens after the file has finished downloading.
Problem: Firefox's "Open Containing Folder" function in its download window doesn't work in SuSE 11.0, instead, Dolphin opens and you get this error:
Procedure to reproduce:Code:Error - Dolphin The file or folder /home/username/'file:/tmp' does not exist.
1) download a file in firefox.
2) wait for the file to finish downloading
3) in the firefox downloads window, right click on the file
4) select "Open Containing Folder"

I have the same behaviour in the german version.
Dolphin tries to open the file relative to my home directory and doesn't use the absolute path.

bump. Any tips? if I download to say,
/home/einarth/0
dolphin gets the address string like
/home/einarth/Documents/'file:/home/einarth/0'
where the first part seems to be whatever is the current working directory for firefox.

That's strange... in my case, I wish Dolphin would open but instead I always get Nautilus...

I am confused. Where do you go (in Firefox) to see a downloaded
file's icon?

Sorry, since I can't find a downloaded file's icon in Firefox, I've
not been able to find the "Open Containing Folder" choice offered.
