Hi,
I’ used Suse 10.3 a new installed 11.0. All the old files stayed intact. VirtualBox could find the old VM’s, but not the guestadditions. I received the following message when I start up;
*The virtual machine could not be started because the DVD image ‘/usr/share/virtualbox/VBoxGuestAdditions.iso’ which is attached to it could not be found or could not be opened. Please detach the image and try again.
Result Code:
0x80004005
Component:
Console
Interface:
IConsole {d5a1cbda-f5d7-4824-9afe-d640c94c7dcf}*
If I start up, I cannot go to settings to install them. Is there a solution???

if you used the openSuse rpms there will be no “guest additions” as they’re
not open sourc’ed
you can do a “touch /usr/share/virtualbox/VBoxGuestAdditions.iso” to create
a dummy file and the vm should start or possibly “discard” that particular
state of the vm
