Default Matrox g200 + Intel motherboard video

I have a HP dc5000 microtower that I would like to install opensuse 11. The LiveCD crashes when trying to configure X with the Matrox card installed. With the card removed , using only the intel motherboard video, the system starts with no problems. Before I do a hard drive install I'd like to confirm that I can install opensuse 11 using the on-board intel graphics card and then be able to install the matrox linux drivers re-install the matrox dual head video card.

Does OpenSUSE support two video cards?

Default Re: Matrox g200 + Intel motherboard video

Finally, I got my Matrox G200 Quad card working using this device sections

    Section "Device"
    BoardName "MGA G200 AGP"
    BusID "6:4:0"
    Driver "mga"
    Identifier "Device[1]"
    Option "MGASDRAM"
    Screen 0
    VendorName "Matrox"

I put three sections only becasue I only have three monitors, Device[0], [1], & [2]

I also have three monitor sections and three Screen sections.

    Section "ServerLayout"
    Identifier "Layout[all]"
    InputDevice "Keyboard[0]" "CoreKeyboard"
    InputDevice "Mouse[1]" "CorePointer"
    Option "Clone" "off"
    Option "Xinerama" "on"
    Screen "Screen[0]"
    Screen "Screen[1]" LeftOf "Screen[0]"
    Screen "Screen[2]" LeftOf "Screen[1]"

this gives me the KDE desktop on one screen and just the wallpaper on the others. I can drag windows to any screen and they maximize within the single monitor.

I did not install the drivers from the Matrox site, this is just using the included drivers.
