    Default Installing WPC54G on Suse 11

    I just installed Suse 11 for the first time and I need help getting my Linksys WPC54G working. Can anybody give me step by step instructions since I'm not very familure with Linux at all. Thanks...

    depending on the revision/version of this card, you could use bcm43xx drivers,acx drivers or madwifi drivers. post the output of lspci -v & then we can take it from there

    First, you should open a terminal and enter the following command:

    /sbin/lspci -v

    If this command returns a line containing the string BCM43.., then all you need
    to do is install the firmware, which openSUSE _cannot_ distribute and configure
    the interface.

    To install the firmware if you have Internet access with Linux, enter the
    following command:

    /usr/sbin/install_bcm43xx_firmware

    To configure the interface, use the GUI at Start / Computer / YaST / Network
    Devices / Network Settings.
