    Default dvb-t usb - CE9500B1 - aka DUTV005

Got myself a cheap dvb-t udb device.
Anyone has a suggestion to get this puppy working with openSUSE 11.0

usb 2-4: New USB device found, idVendor=8086, idProduct=9500
    usb 2-4: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
    usb 2-4: Product: CE9500B1
usb 2-4: Manufacturer: Intel Corporation (UK) Ltd

DealExtreme: Reviews for USB DVB-T TV Dongle with Remote has a message that
"SuSE Linux 10.2 supports this device as the "SAA7133/SAA7135 Video Broadcast Decoder" in the Yast TV card setup module"

It's not auto detected. In openSUSE 11.0 the SAA7133... is not available.

My trusty old DEC2000T looks much the same as your dmesg stuff, but then it loads its firmware, which I don't see in your case.

Have you got firmware for your DVB stick, and is it in /lib/firmware?

    Le KviK! guide:

    Grab:
    http://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentat...t_dvb_firmware

    perl get_dvb_firmware
    <insert coffee break>
    copy resulting .fw to /lib/firmware
    rcdvb restart or rmmod/modprobe driver.

    And there was much rejoicing.

    Thanks anyway

    It's currently not supported

I've collected all info on the device on:
