Default Can someone suggest a Amarok script to transcode audio files

I have been using transKodebut now after upgrading to SUSE 11.0 I can't seem to resolve the dependency with "libldap-2.3.so.0" and I have pretty much given up on it. Now I am wondering if anyone here could suggest a good script to convert audio files, mostly from OGG to MP3 so I can play them on my PSP/MP3 player. Anyone have any suggestions?

I installed the rpm from packman and my system can't seem to find it.

    vendion@SE-03:~> audiokonverter
    bash: audiokonverter: command not found

It didn't seem to work with Amarok anyways, but I was able to get amaKode to work. The reason why I wanted a Amarok script so I can just tell Amarok to transfer the songs to media device and if needed convert them to mp3 and then deleted the transcoded files afterward.

I know how to convert audio files using the CLI, I do it often I just want to be able to convert my oggs and transfer them to my PSP/MP3 player at the same time. Its just a convenience thing for me that is all.

I was wondering if you got the answer you were looking for? Have you tried Audio Converter PAC (pacpl) which is on the Packman site?

Out of interest have you got the "transcode on transfer" function working when sending files to your iPod? For some reason I can not get this to work in OpenSuse 11.

Maybe one should give this a try:
In Amarok go to Tools select Script Manager.

Thanks for the hint, unfortunately therein lies my problem. I am unable to install scripts as I get an error saying the script did not contain an executable file.

What external executable program / script do i need to install to get these Amarok python scrips to work?

I was able to get it to work by installing the Amakode script for amarok, the Audio Converter was a program and not an Amarok script. You can get Amakode from here http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php...?content=48218 with this it will get the "transcode on transfer" function to work.

When you installed the script(s) did you leave it packed in the tarball? Amarok takes the whole tarball and installs the scripts with that.
