Default MS Fonts folder copy question

    Hi all,

Can I copy over the fonts folder found on a Windows XP machine to my OpenSuse11?

If so, which folder does it go into?

    Thanks in advance,

    Yes, you can.
Copy them to /usr/share/fonts/truetype, double check the permissions, and run font-config like root (I always use SuSEconfig, but I think it only runs font-config for fonts).

Yast also has an option allowing you to do it.

Hi. Since i see you use Kde3, you can also use the control center to import directly the fonts from the windows partition. Look in the Kde control center for the fonts applet.
