Anyone know why NetworkManager logs in /var/log/ would be eating 12gb of space? 4 files with different dates add up to 12gb. It just a laptop with a 3945abg card and occasional use of the wired card.
hmm,strange, have you got notifications set to log ? mine is only 1.1mb & my lappy has been surfing for the past 4hrs. if you have,try turning it off

I dont see anywhere in yast or knetworkmanager where its logging. the funny thing is that there were 2 files. something like NetworkManager062208 and NetworkManager062208.tar.bz. The raw file was 7+gb and the compressed was about 1mb. Its like it tried to compress it but didnt delete the original.

It may be useful, in this forum, to mention you have no drive space
left. The reason you have two files is that the system tried to
compress the original but, since it lacks space, failed. If things are
working properly (aside from the disk space issue) just overwrite the
file with a bunch of nothing as mentioned in the other forum and then
let’s work on figuring out why you are logging so much data in here:
echo ‘’ > /var/log/NetworkManager #run as ‘root’
Be sure you put permissions back properly on the file in case they
change (they shouldn’t).
