Post How to set AES for WPA-PSK (wifi) in Networkmanager ?

    Hi,

If a network uses WPA-PSK with AES encryption for the pass phrase, how do I set this n OpenSUSE 11 (wifi)?
I have tried to set this in networkManager, but it does not give the AES possibility.

Next to that: which application in OpenSUSE that is, makes me see the available wireless networks in the surroundings of my laptop ? Can not find it in OpenSUSE yet..

    Thanks !

    Kind regards,
    Aernoudt

When you set up your wireless connection in NetworkManager, when it asks you which security setting you want to use, choose WPA-PSK and select expert setting (or advanced setting, i cannot remember). Select the CCMP cipher and uncheck TKIP.

    Cheers!
