I'm running openSuse 10.3 on a Toshiba Satellite laptop. I want to be able to display the contents of the screen to a second external monitor (my tv). I had an S-video cable connecting the laptop to the S-video input on the television. However, when I press Fn + F5 the display doesn't show up on the tv. The screen on the laptop flashes black, like it's trying to click over. However, it immediately displays the screen again on the laptop, but nothing on the television.

In the 'Graphics Card and Monitor Properties' menu, I have the 'Cloned Multihead' option selected under the 'Dual Head Mode' section.

I tried poking around, but I'm still not sure about what the problem could be. Any ideas?
