In KDE 4 just how do I add an application icon to the desktop?
e.g. Firefox is on the desktop by default - let’s say I also want to add Thunderbird - how do I get it there?
Also - for the same - how do I get launcher icons onto the task panel? Konqueror is there by default - I want to add firefox etc??
From the menu, right-click the icon of the desired program and you should see options to add to panel or desktop. I just re-installed using 3.5.9 because I wanted a bit more stability, so I am working from memory here.
For KDE4 I have just been draging the apps from the k menu onto the desktop. For the panel I have been draging the desktop icons into the pannel.
