    Default My notebook can not use Realtek 8139 netcard

    Either openSUSE 10.3 or 11.0 when I install to my notebook(Everex SA2055T)

    It will hang up when loading 8139too driver , so I add brokenmodules=8139too on boot option.

    When the OS finished to install , the 8139 netcard will not work , if I use rmmod=8139cp then modprobe=8139too , the system also hangs up.

    How can I do to let may netcard active?

    * oykh,

    are you sure that's the correct driver?
    Can you post the output of hwinfo --netcard, please?

    I'm sure my net card is RTL-8139,because windows XP's driver shows that.

    Somebody said that I should set the netcard at the PIO mode instead of MMIO mode and re-compile the kernel.

    CONFIG_8139TOO_PIO=y

    How should I do that ??
