Amarok plays .m4a files on my openSUSE-10.3 PC. I have the packman packaged amarok (with the xine engine selected) and also have the packman packaged libxine1 installed.

Plays them here just fine. Like oldcpu said, you need the packman version

How do I get that version? I am using the preinstalled version in openSUSE 11.

Edit: I installed amarok-xine and all is well.
