I want to connect my opensuse 11 with my router (works fine under winXP). I use a wireless network card (PCMCIA). The card was automatically recognized and configured correctly by the system.
When i want to connect to my router the card does not run. No LED’s blinking, no connection - simply nothing.
I tried various configurations (like ‘if hot-plugged’), but nothing works.

It’s hard to answer as the solution depends on the chipset of your wireless adapter. could you please post the output of lspci? I’m pretty sure, there will be someone that is able to help, but you need to provide more specific information about your wireless card.
It is a Ralink Turbo Wireless Card with RT2500 Chipset. It seems to be found and configured correctly. But trying to connect with kInternet fails. The card seems to be ‘off’ or non-powered.
