I've installed pretty much everything from here:
    download.videolan.org/pub/videolan/vlc/SuSE/11.0
and I can play DVD's but they look tripple. Thoughts?

Oh yeah, I'm running Suse 11.0 and I'm using Gnome.

You may want to enable DMA for your DVD drive.

    http://opensuse-community.org/Restricted_Formats/11.0

You may want to enable DMA for your DVD drive.

    YaST/Modules/IDE DMA Mode - openSUSE
    Restricted Formats/11.0 - openSUSE-Community
Hmm, I'll give that a try though this almost feels like a bad codec. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

OK, I had already followed the restricted formats instructions and now I enabled the DMA. No change.

I would suggest to uninstall all packages from the VLC repo and use Packman instead, though this is just based on my experience/preferences and I don't think there is any problems with the VLC repo as such. But combining those repoes is not recommendable. I don't know if you have enabled the Packman repo as well?
