    Default Pre-installed Linux?

    Hi Folks,

As a hobby, I sell used/refurbed computers. Up to this point I usually did a clean sweep of old software and utilized Windows as pretty much the standard. Now however, having been introduced to the Linux Revolution, I am considering pre-installing Linux.

The question is, who do I need to contact (url) regarding the fact that I will choose to pre-install future computers with the Open Suse Linux OS? Is there a vendor's fee or vendors license? I've sold other puters in the past with Windows on them and everything seemed kosher--would it be the same for Open Suse Linux?

Novell owns the rights to many things in OpenSuse but it is a community distro still.

If you want to look at the agreement to OpenSuse 11.03b there is a copy of it here

    openSUSE 11.0b3 EULA [LWN.net]

going from a post you made somewhere else, if you are willing to pay a bit for licensing fees and that won't bother you, it may not hurt to talk to Novell and see what is up. You may get some kind of deal, to install it, or if you are interested in installing boxed versions that works too.

Maybe others here will know more, since I have never had a need to do an install for business purposes. But maybe some day if I get the time I will get into it

    Should be fine for openSUSE.

    No charge.

It should be fine as long as you don't charge for suse, (maybe for the labor of setting up the drivers/labor), but you mught want to see a specialist
